Matlab programmer
Background
Uptime Engineering is a consultancy and software developer with headquarters in Graz, Austria and a software development office in Novi Sad, Serbia. We are specialized in the field of technical reliability and work with industry leaders in the fields of automotive, wind energy, rail and mining. We provide our customers with methods and tools to support testing, validation and optimized operation of their products.
We are looking for an experience Matlab developer to work initially on a project of around 100 hours. If successful, we would extend this to a longer term relationship with a typical workload of around 50 hours per month. The work will be coordinated mainly by our Engineers located in Graz and communication will be via Skype / phone. Occasional personal meetings may be arranged with our software development team located in Novi Sad.
Task Description
For continuous improvement and the implementation of new features of our Data Management Software ‘SEED’ we are looking for an experienced MATLAB programmer. SEED provides a GUI (graphical user interface) that allows the user to handle time-series data without explicit programming skills and at the same time it provides all the powerful functions and possibilities implemented in MATLAB.
We are looking for a skilled MATLAB programmer who is willing to understand in depth the capabilities and functionality of SEED and support with the ongoing development. The ability to create well-structured and readable code is mandatory for developing in a team.
Required Skills
- Good level of English language, both spoken and written
- MATLAB object orientated programming
- MATLAB GUI programming
- Unit testing in Matlab
- Creation of complex figures in MATLAB (figure, image, manipulating properties of axes, lines, text in plots, …)
- Ideally experience with databases
- Ideally experience with time series (resamping, plotting, etc.)
- Work should be performed using MATLAB - version 2012a to avoid compatibility issues.
