We are looking for folks to join our team on the following position:
Android Software Engineer
You will be part of the new team we are forming for collaboration with one of the biggest Android phone manufacturers in the world. You will design and implement new functionalities for the Android operating system shipped with millions of phones and it will be your responsibility to create the killer and best-in-class mobile experience for millions of users.
You will have to promote and display initiative and innovation, have strong research practices and deliver high quality software, on time. You will need to be able to work in an agile development process and employ best-in-class development practices such as version control, bug tracking, code reviews, design patterns, refactoring and unit tests. Additionally, you’ll need to be detail-oriented and thorough in your approach to research methodology, but flexible enough to work within time and product constraints.

But we set the bar high, here is what we expect:
• Knowledge of Google and various OEM’s Android devices in general
• Hands-on experience with Android application development
• Wide experience of Android platform “below the SDK” for system integration of application services
• 3 or more years of experience with OO languages (Java, C++)
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Passion and iniciative for continual learning about new technologies and approaches
• Excellent Verbal and written communication skills in English
• Ability to travel abroad
Following skills will be considered an advantage:
• Experience with development for mobile devices on platforms other than Android
• Knowledge of Web services: REST, SOAP
• Experience with large-scale java server applications
